Consideration of a Resolution to Authorize the City Manager to Accept a Donation of Bleachers from the George Washington Masonic National Memorial Association. [ROLL-CALLVOTE]

ISSUE:  Consideration of a resolution to authorize the City Manager to accept a donation of two bleachers from the George Washington Masonic National Memorial Association.

 

RECOMMENDATION:  That City Council approve a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement and other documents, if necessary, to finalize donation of bleachers from the George Washington Masonic National Memorial Association.

 

DISCUSSION:  The George Washington Masonic National Memorial Association purchased two (2) sets of bleachers for the 2023 President’s Day weekend activities. The George Washington Masonic National Memorial Association has no further use for the bleachers and has offered them to the City for placement at a City athletic field(s) to support community programming.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:  None. The bleachers will be transported and assembled by City staff. The donation value is $22,990.
