ISSUE: Receipt of Viewers’ report for Vacation #2021-00001.
RECOMMENDATION: That Council receive and approve the viewers’ report for the vacation of a portion of a City-owned alley.
BACKGROUND: City Council approved the vacation of a portion of a City-owned alley at its January 22, 2022 Public hearing meeting part of the Alexandria Housing Development Corporation Glebe/Mount Vernon project. The following viewers were also appointed at that meeting: Sean McEnearney, Debra Roepke, and Charles Sumpter. Viewers are appointed by the governing body to view the property and report in writing any inconvenience that would result from discontinuing the use of the property. The attached letter is the finding of the group.
