Request for removal of City Board, Commission, and Committee members for missing Oaths of Office.

ISSUE: Request the removal of members who have not submitted oaths of office to the Executive Secretary for Boards and Commissions.
RECOMMENDATION: That City Council: (1) authorize the Executive Secretary for Boards and Commissions to remove the members listed from their respective board or commission; and (2) notify them of their removal.
BACKGROUND: In May 15, 2021, City Council approved an ordinance to allow for the removal of members who failed to return their oath of office within 60 days of appointment (Ordinance No. 5346).
DISCUSSION: A notice was sent to all members who had not returned their oaths and a grace period was given in order to give them time to return their oaths. The following members have not returned their oaths of office:
Reshma Badvel, Emergency Medical Services Council
Daniel Beard, George Washington Birthday Celebration Committee
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
