Request for removal of City Board, Commission, and Committee members for missing Oaths of Office.

ISSUE: Request the removal of members who have not submitted oaths of office to the Executive Secretary for Boards and Commissions.
RECOMMENDATION: That City Council: (1) authorize the Executive Secretary for Boards and Commissions to remove the members listed from their respective board or commission; and (2) notify of their removal.
BACKGROUND: In May 2021, City Council approved an ordinance to allow for the removal of members who failed to return their oath of office within 60 days of appointment (Ordinance No. 5346).
DISCUSSION: A notice was sent to all members who have not returned their oaths requesting that they return their oath before the 60 day deadline. The following members have not returned their oaths of office:
Carlos Gonzaloz, Alexandria Gang Prevention Community Task Force
Paula Whitacre, Archaeological Commission
Dianara Saget, Children, Youth and Families Collaborative Commission
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
