Consideration of Authorization of Recommended Capital Project Allocations for Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS).

ISSUE: City Council consideration of Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) capital project allocations and planned expenditures as part of the Approved FY 2013 capital year budget.
RECOMMENDATION: That City Council authorize $43,578,038 for capital project allocations and planned expenditures for Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) as detailed in the ACPS January 2013 allocation request (Attachment 1).
DISCUSSION: The allocations being requested total $43,578,038 of the total $58,941,354 ACPS FY 2013 capital year budget. When combined with FY 2013 allocations approved to date totaling $15,363,316, all available FY 2013 capital funding will be allocated once this allocation is completed. The January allocation of $43,578,038 will be from Cash Capital ($829,502) and General Obligation Bonds ($42,748,536). Requested allocations by ACPS school/facility include:
