Consideration of the Appointment of Two Members of the Board of Directors of the Alexandria Economic Development Partnership (AEDP).

ISSUE: Ratification of Alexandria Economic Development Partnership Members.
RECOMMENDATION: That City Council:
1. Ratify the appointment of Meshelle Armstrong for a term on the Board of Directors of the AEDP extending through June 30, 2014.
2. Ratify the appointment of Kerry Donley for a term on the Board of Directors of the AEDP extending through June 30, 2016.
BACKGROUND: The Board of the Alexandria Economic Development Partnership, Inc., elected two new Board members. Ms. Armstrong will have a term extending through June 30, 2014. Mr. Donley will have a term extending through June 30, 2016. While the Council role is ratification of the AEDP Board recommendations, applications are required for these appointments.
