ISSUE: Request to vacate a position on Building Code Board of Appeals.
RECOMMENDATION: That City Council vacate a position on Building Code Board of Appeals for a citizen member due to lack of attendance and request that the Executive Secretary for Boards and Commissions re-advertise the position as a vacancy.
DISCUSSION: Members of boards, commissions, and committees are required to attend at least 75% if scheduled meetings. Failure to meet the requirement can lead to recommendation to vacate the position and re-advertise it as a vacancy. The staff liaison for the board requested removal of the member for failure to attend any meetings. The following member has not attended any meetings since being appointed: Tao Li.
