ISSUE: Consideration of a resolution to authorize the City Manager to accept a bequest from the Diane Marie de Guzman Revocable Living Trust to the Office of Historic Alexandria.
RECOMMENDATION: That City Council approve a resolution authorizing the City Manager to accept a bequest from the Diane Marie de Guzman Revocable Living Trust to the Office of Historic Alexandria.
DISCUSSION: The Office of Historic Alexandria is the beneficiary of a bequest from the Diane Marie de Guzman Revocable Living Trust. The Trust designates the disbursements to be used for the Freedom House Museum and the Alexandria Black History Museum.
FISCAL IMPACT: The trust has issued a partial distribution of $131,250. $65,625 for the Freedom House Museum and $65,625 for the Alexandria Black History Museum.
