Consideration of a Resolution to Authorize the City Manager to Accept a Donation of Bench Shelters to be placed at four City athletic fields. [ROLL-CALL VOTE]

ISSUE:  Consideration of a Resolution to Authorize the City Manager to Accept a Donation of Bench Shelters to be placed at four City athletic fields.

 

RECOMMENDATION:  That City Council approve the proposed resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement and other documents, if necessary, to finalize donation of four sets of bench shelters from the Alexandria Soccer Association.

 

DISCUSSION:  The Alexandria Soccer Association will purchase and deliver four sets of bench shelters for use at four City athletic rectangular fields. The benches will be available for all field users. The bench shelters will provide player shade, enhance athletic experience, and provide a level of professionalism in field use.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:  None. The bench shelters, delivery and setup will be paid for by the Alexandria Soccer Association. The four (4) sets of bench shelters are valued at approximately $58,520.
