ISSUE: Receipt of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Second Quarter Capital Projects Status Report as relates to City Council approved capital projects.
RECOMMENDATION: That City Council receive as information the FY 2026 Second Quarter Capital Projects Status Report.
DISCUSSION: The FY 2026 Second Quarter Capital Projects Status Report is attached to this docket memo, which covers project progress through December 31, 2025 for active capital projects with moderate to high complexity and community visibility. The progress report pages provide updates on active projects. The Capital Funds Financial Summary provides the current accounting for capital project budgets.

This report does not contain project status report information for Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS), which prepares its own status report.

FISCAL IMPACT: City Council’s receipt of the FY 2026 Second Quarter Capital Projects Status Report does not require any additional resources. The report will, however, be utilized in the development of the future year’s CIP funding needs and in determining the level of future bond issuance. Available project balances, implementation rate, and current and projected project status will be utilized to determine the appropriate level of investment in a project for the forthcoming fiscal year.
