Consideration of City Council Schedule.

ISSUE: City Council Schedule.
RECOMMENDATION: That City Council:
(1) Approve the City Council Look Ahead schedule to include the following:
• October 4, 2025, Del Ray Arts Festival, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., Mount Vernon Avenue
• October 23, 2025 - Alexandria Chamber 2025 Best in Business Awards, The Westin Alexandria Old Town
• October 29, 2025 - Eat and Greet with Arlington and Falls Church elected officials, 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m.
(2) Receive the City Council Calendar from September 2025 - December 2025, with the following updates:
• City Council Town Hall Meeting, Saturday, October 4, 2025, 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Patrick Henry Recreation Center
• CIP and Economic Development Strategy Update, Tuesday, October 7, 2025, 5:30 p.m., City Hall
• City Council Budget Retreat, Saturday, November 1, 2025, 9:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m., Del Pepper Community Resource Center
DISCUSSION: Legislative Meetings and Public Hearings of the Alexandria City Council are being held in the Council Chamber (301 King Street, Alexandria, Virginia, 22314) and electronically. Members of City Council and staff are participating either in-person or from remote locations (under the electronic meeting policy). This will give the public the ability to provide public comment to the City Council through a video conference call on Zoom or in-person. The meetings can be accessed by the public in the City Council Chamber, through the live broadcast on the government channel 70, streaming on the City’s website, and can be accessed via Zoom.
Please Note: Staff will reference the official City Calendar that is published on the City’s website in this docket item. Staff will provide a list of the City Council meetings from that City Calendar for Council’s review and approval at each legislative meeting. The full calendar can be reviewed on the City’s webpage, and the City Council filtered calendar on the City Council’s webpage.
